The Colorado-based medical relief organization Project C.U.R.E. has been providing aid to Uzbekistan since the 1990s. Now, it is preparing to ship over $5 million worth of equipment and supplies to hospitals and communities in Karakalpakstan, which has been deeply affected by the drying of the Aral Sea. This marks the third major aid delivery to this region. Watch the event at the Uzbekistan Embassy in Washington on March 27, where Project C.U.R.E. CEO and President Douglas Jackson and Islamic Relief USA CEO Ahmed Shehata discussed the mission and cooperation.
