Lu confirms that counterterrorism cooperation with the countries neighboring Afghanistan is a priority. He also argues that the promotion of human rights and democracy remains high on the agenda. In an interview with Voice of America's Navbahor Imamova, Lu also explained how Washington is assisting the countries to overcome and avoid the impact of Western sanctions on Russia.
